Enabling the SPAD revolution
Light is both a wave and a particle. When observed as a particle, light is quantized, or digitalized. Our detection technology, based on single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) transforms light directly into a digital signal, thus not altering its original (digital) state.
This direct photon to digital transformation enables unprecedented image quality and detection speed. Our cutting-edge solutions offer unparalleled sensitivity and minimal noise, setting new standards in the industry.
Our products

SPAD 23
A point detector built around a single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) array with 23 pixels packed in a hexagonal configuration. This detector is a perfect complement for any confocal scanning microscope; it delivers individual photon time of arrivals and enables super-resolution microscopy.

SPAD Lambda
A linear detector with a 320×1 SPAD array. This detector features both fine time gating and individual photon arrival timestamping circuitry, ideal for time-resolved spectroscopy. This spectral detector features microlens-enhanced detection performance and low dark noise.

SPAD 512
A complete camera with a 512×512 SPAD pixel array. The camera features fine gating circuitry to measure time-varying events, such as FLIM, and double FPGA read-out for the highest throughput. This camera is a perfect addition to any widefield microscopy system.

Custom sensors
With over 20 years of expertise in designing SPAD-based sensors, we specialize in creating custom solutions that deliver unmatched sensitivity, speed, and time resolution. Our experience allows us to tailor sensors to your exact specifications and unique imaging requirements.
Empowering innovation with industry leading SPAD technology
Low light
Our detectors are best suited for low light conditions with <100 photons signal. We offer pure photon counting Poissonian statistics with SNR = √N. No analog noise sources, no readout noise.
High speed
No trade-off between readout noise and frame rate like in conventional image sensors. Frame rates up to 100’000 fps with full field of view. Integration times shorter than 10 ns.
High dynamic range
Increase the maximum photon count rate to above GHz by using multiple pixels. Use SPADs nonlinear response to light to reach dynamic range beyond 100 dB.
Time resolved
detection
Couple your pulsed illumination with our detector to extract time resolved information with 100 ps precision and 10 ps quantization.
